Description
Peavy Killer on a Budget
If you’re after traditional ’80s rock and metal tone, then Bugera designed the 6262 all-tube guitar amplifier head just for you. Clean/crunch and lead channels are really all you need to get the tone of the ages, but the 6262 gives you individual EQ sections, master reverb and presence controls for each channel, and high- and low-gain inputs to make sure you have what you need for dialing in your perfect tone. Variable impedance, a direct out for your sound engineer, and individual channel volume control means the Bugera 6262 all-tube guitar amplifier head may be the last you’ll ever want to play.
Channels designed to give you classic rock tone
The 6262 exists to be your go-to rock amp. Fundamentally the same amp as Bugera’s 6260 but with more midrange, you get tone like a super-lead amp and enough crunch to break a tooth on. Tweaking the channel gains gives you different flavors. For responsiveness from your attack and dynamics, turn up the clean gain to get that Texas clean, natural overdrive. If you need some grit just leave the clean gain up, kick it into crunch mode and settle in to familiar, classic rock rhythm tones. The lead channel gives you tons of harmonics and compression for articulate, sustaining solo tones. And with separate master volumes for both channels, you can easily switch from rhythm-clean to solo-lead with total volume control.
Features every guitar player needs
The 6262 would be awesome as it stands, but Bugera made sure to put options and features at your fingertips that make your playing experience second to none. You get an FX loop, reverb and presence controls on each channel, and if you need to feed the PA or other mixer or interface, there’s also a line output. Variable impedance options make this all-tube guitar amplifier a great companion for almost any speaker cabinet, and, thanks to exceptional construction and components, you’ll be rocking the handbuilt 6262 for years to come. They’ve even included the footswitch – this amp is a superb value!
